onceuponautilityIt's a beautiful day! [Or maybe the weather is terrible? It heavily depends what part of the world you're in.] But no matter where you are, today is meant to be a joyous day!
The Rose Festival - a time of frivolity and peace, celebrated across the map - has come again this year! Eat, dance, stop and smell the roses! Hear ye, hear ye! The Rose Festival lasts from this day of May the twenty-ninth one week, to June the fourth! Come one, come all! Eat, drink, and be merry, for flowers do not bloom forever! Come out of the winter of work, and let yourself grow in the sunlight!
Great things await! Watch tournaments between the finest fighters in both the Warriors' and Mages' Guilds, fine displays of power! And special thanks to the Hunters' Guild, who have provided for the feast from their best hunts!
[That's it, folks, your cue to party! All parts of the world celebrate the Rose Festival, as explained by our enthusiastic town crier, so you're free to be festive anywhere you like. This does not mean this week is all play and no work! There are performers, merchants, cooks - everyone has to come together to make a festival that can be enjoyed, after all.
The festival is also not without its dangers. Monsters may attack, or the fae may choose to join in the festivities - unusual though they may be, the experience might not be pleasant. There is also the more mundane danger of the rumored "Thieves' Guild". A distracted crowd is a bandit's field for the reaping.]
((OOC: And with this, Once Upon A Box is officially OPEN! Feel free to have whatever you like happen, be it monster attacks, beginnings of plots, or whatever else. This event will last for a week.
